Welcome to Silent Ink, a hobby project and social experiment designed to connect anonymous users through digital letter-writing.
By accessing or using this website, you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

  1. Eligibility
    You must be at least 18 years old to use Silent Ink. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
  2. Nature of the Service
    Silent Ink is a non-commercial platform built and maintained by a private individual based in Italy. The platform allows users to exchange anonymous letters based on a matchmaking system.
    • Users are assigned a random username upon signup.
    • Letters are delivered with a virtual delay based on selected continent locations.
    • Users can reject letters they receive; rejected letters are reassigned.
    • Once a reply is sent, a correspondence thread begins and is locked to alternate replies between users.
  3. User Conduct
    You agree not to use the platform to:
    • Harass, threaten, abuse, or impersonate others
    • Send hateful, discriminatory, illegal, or inappropriate content
    • Violate another user's privacy
    • Promote or advertise products, services, or external links
    We reserve the right to suspend or remove any account at our discretion, especially in case of reported abuse.
  4. Privacy & Data
    We collect minimal personal data necessary for account creation and matching logic (e.g., email, continent selection, letter contents). All content is subject to our Privacy Policy, which you should read carefully.

    As this is a non-commercial, personal project, you agree to hold the creator of Silent Ink harmless for any damages, losses, or issues arising from your use of the platform.

  7. Copyright and Content
    You retain the rights to any content you write, but by submitting letters, you grant us the limited right to store and transmit that content to matched users as part of the service. If you believe your content has been misused, you can contact us.
